5/1/2023 0 Comments Thopter spy network cluesMaking tokens of big things I play AND big things my OPPONENTS play is fun, especially if BRUDICLAD is our commander. I went for quality rather than quantity in this build, because making a bunch of tiny things and killing opponents that way just isn't my style. Token generation is at the core of our deck, and as such, I have inserted several ways of acquiring tokens. It's dumb, I know, but hey, there's nothing like a daily dose of stupid content to get the brain going. Brudiclad can be a MONSTER if not addressed, and makes him a popular commander to build around.Īlso, yes, I'm comparing Brudiclad to Thanos. He can also generate tokens by himself, only adding to his power! He's also a 4/4, which makes him a little challenging to take down. Now, all of a sudden, you have a bunch of 5/5 FLYERS to beat your opponent's face with!! Let's not forget to mention that he gives these tokens HASTE!! That's definitely NOT broken. Think about it you spend all the early game generating 1/1 Myr and Clue tokens, and then you play a Dragonmaster Outcast. If you build a deck around him that accommodates him, he can be TOTALLY INSANE! His ability to make ALL TOKENS you have COPIES of ANOTHER TOKEN you control can get VERY BROKEN. Brudiclad can indeed change the outcome of a game with a *SNAP*, and as such, I've chosen him as my next commander to build IRL.īrudiclad here is just AMAZING. Our primary goal is to make as many tokens as possible, then make the tokens copies of things that our opponent's WON'T LIKE, such as 6/6 Dragons and 10/10 Eldrazi!! We have the cards that make tokens/worthy of copying, cards that clone creatures we control, and of course Brudiclad to bridge the gap between token types. We can, of course, work this to our advantage. The color combination of blue and red allows for LOTS of token-making shenanigans, since both colors are well-known for their ability to make copies of things. Either way works, but my version leans more toward the "big things" side of the spectrum. This meaning that you can either make your tokens giant things, such as 5/5 Dragons, or you can make them little things, such as 2/1 Myr. Kill your opponents with a LOT OF big things Overwhelm your opponents with a LOT OF little things If it's not immediately obvious when you hear the word "token", the only way to build Brudiclad effectively is to build a deck that generates a ton of tokens and does either or both of two things: If you do, each other token you control becomes a copy of that token." Ladies and gentlepeeps, I present to you, Brudiclad, Telchor Engineer!īrudiclad, Telchor Engineer is a 4/4 Legendary Artificer Creature that costs and reads:Īt the beginning of combat on your turn, create a 2/1 blue Myr artifact creature token. HEY! Before you report this for Endgame spoilers, there is nothing of the such in here, so CHILL OUT!! He summons armies to his side with ease, and effectively overwhelms any competition! Although he isn't related to Thanos in any way, he can most certainly change the entire game with just a *SNAP*! Now do you see why I gave Brudiclad an Infinity Gauntlet? This is part of my current plan for creating future content.Īnyway, let's get on to the Deck Tech! Our leader is a Myr native to Mirrodin, and by far the most powerful of them. It started out as a pet project, but with how you all have reacted to its continuation, I kept the story going past the old BCC challenge constraints. If you came here to see just why the hell Brudiclad is wielding an Infinity Gauntlet, well, read on you'll get my joke eventually.Īs for my other forms of content, I will work on resurrecting my old "For Better or For Worse" stories for all of you, upon your overwhelmingly positive request. He's just super fun to play with, and he can get real dumb real quick, too! Hello, one and all! Welcome to another EDH Deck Tech! Here we have my build of Brudiclad, Telchor Engineer, one of my personal favorite commanders just below Rakdos, Lord of Riots.
